We have many trainings and workshops designed especially for summer camps. Staff training is an essential aspect of fostering a positive camp experience for campers and staff alike.   • Positive Camp Culture: Proactive Behavior Management & De-escalation Strategies

    Creating a positive camp culture starts with proactive behavior management. In this workshop, staff will learn how to set clear expectations, build strong camper relationships, and prevent challenging behaviors before they arise. Through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios, participants will develop practical skills to redirect behaviors, manage conflicts, and respond calmly in high-stress situations. By fostering a supportive and structured environment, staff can help every camper feel safe, respected, and ready to make the most of their camp experience.

  • Building Bridges: Navigating Friendships and Understanding Bullying

    Friendships are a key part of the camp experience, but they can also come with challenges. This workshop will help staff understand the dynamics of camper relationships, including how to foster positive friendships and recognize the signs of exclusion or bullying. Participants will learn strategies to support campers in resolving conflicts, promoting kindness, and creating an inclusive camp culture. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, staff will gain the tools to guide campers in building strong, healthy relationships while effectively addressing and preventing bullying behaviors.

  • Empowering Every Camper: Supporting ADHD, Anxiety & Neurodivergent Youth at Camp"

    At summer camp, every camper deserves to feel included, supported, and empowered to thrive. This workshop will equip staff with practical strategies to support campers with ADHD, anxiety, and other forms of neurodivergence. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, staff will learn how to recognize diverse needs, foster a positive and inclusive camp environment, and implement effective behavior management techniques. From communication strategies to sensory-friendly adaptations, this training will provide the tools to create a camp experience where all campers feel understood, valued, and set up for success.

  • Power of Play: Enhancing Character, Emotional Regulation & Executive Function at Camp

    Free play is more than just fun—it’s a powerful tool for developing essential life skills in campers. In this workshop, staff will explore how unstructured playtime helps foster character development, emotional regulation, and executive function skills. Participants will learn how to facilitate play that encourages problem-solving, self-control, empathy, and teamwork, all while supporting campers in developing key skills like focus, decision-making, and resilience. By understanding the vital role of free play, staff will be equipped to create an environment that nurtures growth, independence, and positive social interactions throughout the camp experience.

  • Safe Camp, Strong Team: Understanding & Preventing Sexual Abuse

    This essential training workshop equips summer camp counselors with the knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and appropriately respond to sexual abuse. Counselors will learn how to identify signs of abuse, understand the dynamics and impact of sexual abuse, and implement best practices to create a safe and supportive environment for all campers. Staff will learn: to define sexual abuse and understand its effects on children and adolescents, warning signs and indicators of abuse, prevention strategies, setting and maintaining appropriate boundaries and supervision and understand mandatory reporting. This training is designed for camps to promote a culture of safety, trust and respect within the camp community.

  • Self-Regulation & Co-Regulation: A Dysregulated Adult Can't Regulate a Dysregulated Child

    A training to support young adult counselors develop the stamina, resilience & accountability necessary to help their campers thrive. Your team will benefit from the tools, tips and strategies we provide for keeping your cool, even in the heat of summer! (And yes, your skills will hold up in the rain, too!) This training will help your leadership team ensure their young staff can self-regulate and stay calm when kids need them. Learn the power of co-regulation - the interactive process when caring adults: provide warm, supportive relationships promote self-regulation through modeling, coaching and feedback create supportive environments.

  • Our Location

    We are based on Mount Desert Island in the heart of Acadia National Park. We travel to camps throughout Maine and New England.
